FRIENDSHIP BELL 2022

We are delighted to be hosting this year’s Friendship Bell between Hayling, Bramshaw, Barton on Sea and West Surrey, which will be played on Sunday 10th July 2022.

Each Club’s team of ten players is made up of the Club Captain, Vice-Captain and Club Secretary/Manager, who are joined by seven members who give, or have given, their time to assist in the running of Club activities.  In the event of the Captain, Vice-Captain and Club Secretary/Manager being unavailable on this day, substitutes are of course allowed.

A Stableford, qualifying competition, 95% handicap allowance, with a maximum Handicap Index of 18.0. Play will be in 4’s with the Captains, Vice-Captains and Secretary/Managers playing together.

The result will be determined by the Club with the highest total of their best 8 scores out of their ten players. In the event of a tie, the best ninth card will be considered. If a tie still results, then the Captain’s cards will be the decider with normal countback rules being applied. Prizes will be awarded to the winning team and to the best individual score.

Itinerary for the day:

9.00am                      Rolling Full English Breakfast to be served before play
10.00-10.40               1st and 11th tee start
4pm                            3-course dinner with wine (jacket and tie), followed by prize giving
