John Roles Trophy

A Sages open invitation day involving all of the clubs the Sages play their matches against throughout the year. The guest clubs may vary from year to year.

The club / Sages John Roles match captain invites each guest club to enter a team of three players. They must be members of their own seniors section and have a max HI of 22.

Format: individual Stableford Q, 95%. Yellow tees.

Played in fours, where each four contains one WS member, and a mix of players from the guest clubs.  

Each club team’s Stableford points score is combined and totalled to establish the winners. Every score counts, there is no discard score.

Prizes in kind to the winning guest team.

The John Roles Trophy goes to the WS member with the best individual Stableford score

Guidance on the day:

It is a two tee start from 9am. The registration table will be open from 8am in the Clubhouse Lounge along with Coffee & Bacon Rolls. All guests will have a West Surrey Sage in their group.

Please note if you are teeing of from the 11th tee, allow a few extra minutes as we advise you drive and use our additional parking. Instructions will be provided on check in.

The format for Guests: 1st Team John Roles Trophy, 2nd & 3rd Team Prizes. 1st, 2nd & 3rd Individual Prizes. Separate Team & Individual Prizes for West Surrey Members. The format is an Individual Stableford played from the Yellow Tees. Please be aware the handicap index limit as stated on the entry form is 21. This equals a Playing Handicap of 22 at West Surrey. 

There will be a 2 Course Buffet Lunch and Prize Giving after golf.
