A current HI is required to be eligible for the trophy or be placed, and to submit a score for handicap.

Those without a current HI may participate, however they are not eligible for the trophy or to be placed in the competition.

White tees for Juniors with a HI wishing to enter a GROSS as well as a NETT score.

Yellow and red tees available for juniors with a HI to enter NETT score.

No age restriction, other than they must be Junior members. Juniors who have turned 18 in their final Junior year are eligible for this competition.

No minimum number of qualifying competitions in the previous 12 months to enter.

The Junior Champion is the player with the best gross score.

There is no physical trophy and no honours board (as of 2025).

The nett prize goes to the player with the best nett score.

In the event of a tie for the gross, the 1st and subsequent holes will used as playoff holes until there is a winner.

In the event of a tie for the nett, countback will be used.
